Unfortunately not an uncommon birth defect, the presentation of such a case requires the explanation of the dynamics of the injury as well as an understanding of the anatomy involved. This can be done through a variety of media, including video, three-dimensional models and color illustrations of the birth process and the anatomy of the brachial plexus.

Anatomical models are good support exhibits for any of the above. We have a baby/pelvis model that allows for demonstration of varying delivery positions. The baby can be "delivered" through the pelvic opening and rotated as needed. The arms are flexible for additional variety in presentation.
