Criminal Defense Photography
Much of the photography done in criminal defense cases involves making location views to show that "the police or witnesses could not have seen what they said they saw, from where they saw it." These projects require great care in the selection of equipment, lighting, and final presentation to create fair and accurate representations. Often, we will photograph our photographer or camera set-up to establish the accuracy of the photographic reconstruction. Accurate measurements are taken, distances are recorded, and diagrams are made to support the photography.
Photography at night is often used to demonstrate the relative brightness of a scene to support or refute the testimony of one's ability to have observed the matter at hand. Low-light level photography poses many challenges when creating images for litigation, and we will be glad to discuss this issue with you prior to accepting any assignments.
Scale diagrams of locations, aerial photography, and videotape are all services that can be effectively used to support testimony based on the facts of the case. We also have "George" on our staff available for rent.
